LAAOV – Call for Nominations

Nominations open for 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Volunteerism

Volunteers are essential to the vitality and well-being of our communities.

The Lifetime Achievement Award for Outstanding Volunteerism recognizes individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to our communities through volunteerism during their lifetime.

This award is presented to a maximum of four residents from one or more of our communities, with a celebration honouring award winners during National Volunteer Week in April each year.

As part of the award, a legacy fund will be established in honour of each recipient and administered by the Brant Community Foundation.

For more information on this award, or to download the application, please visit the LAAOV website.

“As we launch our call for nominations in our fifth year of recognizing exceptional volunteers, we are also pleased to announce that the 2018 award celebration and presentations will take place in the City of Brantford during National Volunteer Week on Monday, April 16th, 2018 (venue, timing and specific details about the event will be available once all is in place).  We have been very pleased to rotate our annual celebration throughout each of the four geographic regions we serve and draw recipients from. Having held the inaugural event in Brantford in 2014, followed by events in all other regions we serve over the last three years, we now return to the great City of Brantford for this year’s celebration.

“We are committed to sharing in honouring our outstanding lifetime award recipients and their stories of incredible accomplishments in volunteerism with each of our communities.  We look forward to working closely with our friends in the City of Brantford to ensure that the coming event will be top-notch in every respect and very much appreciate their warm hospitality as our 2018 hosts.”   – Derek Bond
