Grants Overview
Brant Community Foundation grants to a wide range of charitable organizations within our region. We are a 360° grant maker, meaning we fund the broadest range of programs and services that contribute to the quality of life in our community. We accept applications for the following granting programs:
Brant Community Foundation Grants Program
Timeline: Applications open annually in late September.
Eligibility: Applications are accepted from registered charities across all sectors for projects and programs that benefit the community across our region.
Funding amount: Up to $12,500 per organization.
Ontario Endowment Fund for Children and Youth in Recreation (OEFCYR) Grants Program
Timeline: Applications are accepted in late winter/early spring for projects beginning in the summer.
Eligibility: Applications are accepted from registered charities that serve youth, for projects supporting youth in recreation across our region.
Funding amount: Up to $1,500 per organization.
City of Brantford Community Grants Program
Timeline: Generally two rounds per year, in the fall and spring.
Eligibility: Applications are accepted from registered charities and non-profit organizations across all sectors for projects and programs that benefit the City of Brantford. There are three grant streams: Operational, Start-Up / Capital, and Event.
Funding amount: $10,000 maximum for Operational grants; $15,000 maximum for Start-Up / Capital grants; and $5,000 maximum for Event grants.
County of Brant Community Grants Program
Timeline: Applications generally open late January – early February.
Eligibility: Applications are accepted from registered charities and non-profit organizations across all sectors for projects and programs that benefit the community in the County of Brant. There are three grant streams: Operational, Capital Project, and Event.
Funding amount: $5,000 maximum for Operational grants; $10,000 maximum for Capital Project grants; and $5,000 maximum for Event grants.
Brant Community Foundation is pleased to adjudicate and administer grants on behalf of the City of Brantford and County of Brant.
