Children and Youth in Recreation Grant Program
Children and Youth in Recreation Grant Program
Brant Community Foundation accepts applications to the Ontario Endowment Fund for Children and Youth in Recreation (OEFCYR) annually in the Spring. The Fund provides grants to programs for youth in recreation.
The Brant Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) will serve as the grant review committee for the OEFCYR grants as part of their community leadership and development. YAC was formed to provide leadership opportunities for high school age youth. Members of the committee are highly committed and are looking to make a difference in our community.
What is Recreation? According to Wikipedia, recreation is an activity of leisure, leisure being discretionary time. Recreational activities are often done for enjoyment, amusement, or pleasure and are considered to be “fun.”
