Brant Vital Signs

The Brant Community Foundation is thrilled to announce the launch of Brant Vital Signs.

Over 40 guests, including dignitaries, donors and grant recipients of the Brant Community Foundation gathered at The Laurier Brantford Research and Academic Centre for the launch of the Brant Vital Signs.

Vital Signs is a community check-up conducted by community foundations across Canada that measures the vitality of the local community and identifies significant trends in a range of areas.  Our report looks at 10 key areas that affect the quality of life in our community.

James Popham, PhD Assistant Professor, Criminology at Wilfrid Laurier University also announced the launch of a Vital Signs game.  The game was created by a team of students and lead by a postdoctoral fellow from the BGNlab (Brantford Games Network lab at Laurier Brantford), and was designed to inform community members about the multiple considerations that go into local philanthropic investment.  Players place game cards on four different regions and try to increase each region’s happiness as well as overall happiness
