2019 Ontario Endowment Fund for Children and Youth in Recreation grants

The Brant Community Foundations Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) was pleased to award the 2019 Ontario Endowment Fund for Children and Youth in Recreation grants.

The YAC’s hosted a cheque presentation at the Brant Community Foundation office awarding a total of $4,325.00 in grants from the Ontario Endowment Fund for Children and Youth in Recreation.

This year’s grants were awarded to the following organizations in support of youth programs:

• Brantford Symphony Orchestra for the “Bach to the Future” youth concert.
• Brantford Youth Council for expansion of the neighbourhood drop-in programs.
• Optimist Club of Scotland for the safe playground equipment fundraiser.
• Paris Port Dover Pipe Band for sheet music for the development program for bagpipes and drums.
• YMCA Brantford for the “Youth Fusion Project” memberships

The presentation provided a great opportunity for our youth committee to network and learn more about the organizations and how the funds would make a difference in their community.
